It’s the end of the world as we know it. Again. 😊

Life is change.
Change is life.💞

Change can be scary. This world can feel scary.

Sometimes, we don’t even realize we’re doing it … but we assume the world is an unfriendly and even hostile place. We think the world is telling us we’re not lovable, we’re not enough, and even that we’re not worthy. 🏆

Our brains 🧠 can take those crappy thoughts and fixate on them as if they are truth.

But the truth is focusing on those garbage thoughts just makes your mind a trash bin 🚮 and your world a messy place to live in.

Your brain wants to keep you safe by making sure you have food, water, and a roof over your head. But those same thoughts that are part of your core survival instincts can also seep into your fears and show up as painful emotions like not feeling accepted, valued or loved. It sets off shrill alarms of,

“you’re not safe,”
“you need to do more,”
“you’re not enough,”
“you need to try harder.”

Those rotten thoughts 🍅 are there as an attempt to keep you safe… it’s a belief that IF you feel this bad, you’ll try harder and THEN you’ll be safe.

It’s not true.

We all want to be accepted for who we are. We’ve been taught that we need our family, friends, society, and everyone-the-hell-else to accept us 💑 otherwise we’ll be all alone — abandoned, and rejected.

Not everyone will like us. No matter what. That’s not a bad thing.

We all have our dragons to slay, our own judgments and criticisms of ourselves to let go of.

Maybe some people are judging you but who cares? Once you figure out they’re just projecting their fears and judgment of themselves onto you, you’ll no longer care. And if you do care and are triggered, you can be assured that they’re showing you EXACTLY what’s up for YOU to heal.

I used to incessantly worry about what others thought about me. It’s kinda funny to wake up ⏰ and realize that most people have their hands full and don’t give a shit what you’re doing. It’s not ‘cuz they’re bad people, but because they’re struggling, especially now when there’s so much uncertainty and change going on for all.

So it’s helpful to give your brain an alternate thought and to remember that love is the willingness to meet each other in our shared humanity. 👫🤝

It feels good to remember that I don’t need to be so judgy of myself or others.

Acceptance is the solution.

Acceptance helps us let go of what we think our life should be. It doesn’t mean we must like it, choose it, or endorse the situation we’re accepting. It also doesn’t mean that we can’t work on changing things. What it does mean is we get to look at what we keep, what we let go of, and not waste a nanosecond of energy fighting what’s happening in our lives. Simply allowing the situation to be there in this moment is freedom! 🌟

Here are 3 tips to help you get to acceptance quicker:

  1. Release the need/desire to control your life and what it offers you in an attempt to feel safe. 🚒 Safety is found in your acceptance of what life is offering you and in awareness of deciding who you are in relationship to what is going on around you. For example, you may need to release guilt and shame you feel before you can let go of an abusive relationship.
  2. Release  your attachment to the world (think collective consciousness) which is aligned with fear-based thoughts. 😱😩 As you align with the love that you are, you automatically see others lashing out and projecting from a place of their own pain and struggles. You no longer take their actions or inactions personally. This is freedom.
  3. Open to receiving goodness in all of its forms in your life. Sometimes goodness comes through finding your way through pain and struggle. It’s the gift of pain, but it’s still a gift. 💐🛤️

Want to know how you’re doing accepting your life exactly as it is? Can you think about your life AND keep your heart open? Or do you feel your body contract and tighten?

Acceptance feels like a gentle breeze on a soft summer’s day 🌞. It’s an easy feeling of relief that you don’t have to do anything more to feel better now. You are enough.

If you do feel your body contract as you feel into accepting your life exactly as it is, breathe deep and consider visualizing and piling all of your concerns into a giant basket and sending them up to the angelic realm (the universe, your guides, or whatever else speaks to you) for them to figure out. And then say, “I rest in Love! Now.” Repeat again and again and feel your load lighten.

Remember, YOU ARE LOVE and YOU ARE LOVED, whether you feel it, remember it or not. 💕
