When Is It Your Turn To Be Happy?

There is no finish line. No “I’ll be happy when… THEN everything will be ok.” Not even when you:

  • Find a partner
  • Lose the weight
  • Get a more impressive job
  • Earn more money
  • Travel the world

Telling yourself these stories is painful. Believing you can only be happy after you’ve gotten that thing you’ve been chasing is painful.

Because even if you do feel good about the raise or your upcoming vacation, it’s not sustainable if you’re playing out the energy of “more, more, more,” of disappointment, or of “I can’t be happy until….”

In 2.5 microseconds you’ll add something else to the list to chase after.

What can you do instead?
Practice gratitude.

Gratitude is the most healing and renewing emotion there is.
You cannot be in gratitude and feel depressed at the same time.

I’m grateful for being able to walk, for doing my work so I can live with more freedom and love in my life, for my children, for being a grandma, for learning new things…

What are you grateful for?

Let a mountain stream of love and gratitude wash through places of pain and struggle in your body. This creates an environment for your body to heal.

Can you feel gratitude washing into every cell of your body?
Can you feel your heart open?

Pay attention and see if you can let the feeling of gratitude spill through your body.
